James Edward Wilson was born Feb. 23, 1922 to Frank and Myrtha L Copenhaver Wilson. He died Dec. 25, 1967 and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence, IA.
Sgt. Wilson served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 4th Regiment, 2nd Division and became a POW of the Japanese.
