Herbert Elvin Whaley was born Nov. 24, 1912 to Thomas H. and Dora May Taylor Whaley. He died Apr. 15, 2010 and is buried in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
Herbert was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. While in service, he was a member of the Army Band.
