Charles Wallman, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Wallman, 1031 S. Mulberry Street, has been promoted from corporal to sergeant at the ordnance motor base, Stockton, California.

Cpl. Charles V. Wallman, whose wife resides at 1031 Mulberry Street, and Sgt. Carl J. Siekaniec, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Siekaniec, 2609 Macomb Avenue, are members of the 134th ordnance maintenance battalion which received the meritorious service plaque. This battalion is a part of the 12th armored division in France.
