Wilfred Wachter, son of William Wachter of the Mayfair Hotel, will take part in the Bluejackets Calling Radio program of the United States Navy at 5:15 p.m. central standard time, today over radio station WAIT, Chicago.

Wilfred Wachter, son of William Wachter, Mayfair Hotel, has been promoted to third class petty officer and is at home for a one-week leave. He is a radio technician and has been stationed in Chicago. He is to be transferred to Washington.

Wilfred J. Wachter, radio technician first class, who has just completed a leave spent with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wachter of the Mayfair hotel, has returned to duty on the U.S.S. Conner, which has a record of 35 successful engagements, its most recent action being the invasion of the Philippines. The destroyer is officially credited with shooting down five Japanese planes, participating in six bombardments, supporting 17 invasions and 19 air attacks.
