Charles Albert Sutten was the son of Joseph A. and Nellie May Wiley Sutten. Grace Hageman Sutten was his step-mother. He died Dec. 23, 1944 and is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Washington, IA.
Cpl. Sutten served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 885th Bomb Group and was MIA/KIA in Yugoslavia.
