George Allen Strong was born July 4, 1917 to George A. and Marie Van Valkerberg Strong. He died Jan. 10, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Sgt. Strong served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy and awarded the Purple Heart.
