George Raymond Spencer was born June 21, 1913 to Charles Clarence and Vera Fern Baldwin Spencer. He died Oct. 24, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Spencer served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/POW and died as a POW in the sinking of the Arisan Maru.He was awarded the Purple Heart.
