Richard Edward ‘Dick’ Simpson was born Mar. 2, 1921 to Murray E. and Leno I. Tweedie Simpson. He died Sept. 6, 1996 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.
Dick graduated from Webster City High School in 1937 and attended Webster City Junior College and Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. He moved to Washington, D.C., where he worked with Join Chief’s of Staff as a civilian. He later worked with the U.S. Navy. He was stationed in both Washington, D.C. and Quebec, Canada.
