Kenneth Dean Leroy Simonson was born Dec. 9, 1923 to Alva and Dora Young Simonson. He died Feb. 22, 2013 and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Stratford, IA.
Sgt. Simonson enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1944. His military career spanned 25 years including the Army Air Corps, Army National Guard and finally retiring from the Air National Guard with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He was a proud member of the 132nd Silver Squadron.
