Charles Glenn Shafar was born Sept. 8, 1917 to Charles R. and Hazel M. Shafar. He died Feb. 20, 1943 and is buried in IOOF Cemetery, Indianola, IA.
Lt. Shafar served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was KIA in North Africa.
