John H. Schnack was born May 23, 1920 to John and Amelia Grill Schnack. He died Aug. 30, 1943 and was buried in the cemetery at Caserta, Italy where a special plot is kept for POWs. He was later returned to Clinton Lawn Cemetery, Clinton, IA.
Lt. Schnack served with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died while a POW.
