Francis C. Schmillen was born June 6, 1919 to Thomas A. and Alice B. Schmillen. He died Feb. 4, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Sgt. Schmillen served in World War II with the U.S. Army 24th Division Infantry and was KIA on Luzon, Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
