Mont Lamar Riggs was born Apr. 12, 1918 to Harley Dewey and Eva Barnes Riggs. He died Jan. 5, 1945 and is buried in Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg and memorialized in Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa, IA.
Pvt. Riggs served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. C, 194th Glider Infantry, 17th Airborne Division and was KIA in Belgium and awarded the Purple Heart.
