Jack Alfred Reid was born Dec. 6, 1918 to John A. and Ella Beaber Hunt Reid. He died Jan. 8, 1945, was buried at sea, and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Ensign Reid served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was KIA while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
