Walter John Rath was born Jan. 19, 1919 to John H. and Katherine Rath. He died Jan. 18, 1945 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Denison, IA.
Capt. Rath served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 379th Bomb Squadron, 310th Bomb Group stationed in Corsica and was KIA over Italy.
