Dennis Patrick Ryan, Jr. was born May 30, 1920 to Dennis Patrick (Sr.) and Ida Cota Ryan. He died Jan. 18, 1944 and is buried in Elmwood Saint Joseph Cemetery, Mason City, IA.
Sgt. Ryan served with the Army Air Corps in World War II with the 11th Combat Mapping Squadron, 9th Photographic Group, Reconnaissance. He died in an airplane crash while in the service of the United States at Birmingham, AL.
