PFC. Rustwick, infantry, Reported Missing in France


Pfc. E. Melvin Rustwick has been missing in action in France since July 7, his wife, 3213 Fourth Avenue, has been informed by the war department.

Pfc. Rustwick is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Rustwick, 910 Cornelia Street, and was born and reared in Sioux City. He is a graduate of East High School and was employed as a sign writer before going into service.

He entered the army September 1, 1943 and was trained at Camp Blanding, Florida and Fort Meade, Md. He went overseas in April, serving with an infantry division.

He has two brothers in service, Bob, who is in the Aleutians and Paul, a member of the navy air corps.

Mrs. Rustwick stated that her husband’s last letter dated June 24, was sent from France.
