Wayne Clifford Ritchey was born Sept. 21, 1917 to Raymond C. and Anna Margaret Ritchey. He died May 10, 1944 and is buried in Burge Cemetery, New London, IA.
Lt. Ritchey served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 747th Bomb Squadron and was KIA in Austria. He received the Purple Heart and Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
