S. Sgt. Lloyd S. Redmond, waist gunner on a 15th A. A. F. Liberator, reported missing in action December 18, has been awarded the air medal for “meritorious achievement in aerial flight while participating in sustained operational activity against the enemy.” He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Redmond of Sanborn.

Lloyd Stephen Redmond was born Nov. 8, 1918 to Stephen D. and Anna Maroney Redmond. He died Dec. 30, 1977 and is buried in Los Angeles National Cemetery, Los Angeles, CA.
