Former Sioux Cityan Missing in Pacific Area
Second Lieut. Chris Props, a graduate of Central High School has been reported missing in action in the south Pacific area.
His mother, Mrs. Sotera Props of Mitchell, S.D. was informed Wednesday by the war department that he had failed to return from a mission with the army air corps. Mrs. Props said she had last heard from her son 10 days ago. At that time he was stationed in New Guinea.
Lieut. Props lived in Sioux City before moving to Mitchell with his parents.

Christ Andrew Props was born June 26, 1917 to Andrew Michael and Sotera Props. He died Apr. 27, 1943 and is buried in American Legion Cemetery, Mitchell, SD
