NORTH LIBERTY—Corp. Lawrence E. Povonder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank F. Povonder of North Liberty, came home from the service after 23 months. He had been in the European theater of operations nine months and received his final discharge, May 10th, at Fort Bragg, N.C.
