PFC. Edward Phipps Wounded in Action
Pfc. Edward J. Phipps, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Phipps, 1621 Douglas Street, was wounded in action on Luzon, January 24, and is now in a hospital in the Philippines. He has been in the Pacific area for 14 months and was a member of an antitank company. He enlisted in the army in 1940.
His older brother, S. Sgt. Roger Phipps, is in the air corps stationed at Chapman field, Georgia.
