Orville Elmer Peterson was born Aug. 21, 1924 to Elmer Otto and Amelia “Millie” Hansen Peterson. He died Apr. 7, 1944 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Dows, IA.
Aviation Cadet Peterson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps at the 755th Basic Flight Training School, Marana Army Airfield, Arizona. He was killed in the crash of BT-13A #42-1183 near the airfield in Marana, AZ.
