Milford Frank Peters was born Jan. 7, 1921 to Ernest M. and Kathrine Schlagel Peters. He died May 8, 1944 and is buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium.
Sgt. Peters served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps, 735th Bomber Squadron, 453rd Bomber Group, Heavy and was KIA near Hameln, Germany when his B-24 (Liberator) crashed as a result of enemy action. He was originally interred in the Wehl Friedhof Cemetery at Hameln and was awarded the Purple Heart.
