Volunteers Expected To Fill Sixth Quota Of Men
The Johnson county draft board today announced that the sixth call for men for a year’s active military training under the Selective Service Act has been received for March 10.
The board also announced receipt of information concerning the enlistments of Leo H. Miles of Oxford, and Leland J. Parker, 608 South Madison street, into the Army.

Private Leland Parker returned this morning to Ft. Des Moines after a three-day visit with his parents and family at 1829 F Street.

Three Iowa Citians Enlist in the Army
Three Iowa City men have enlisted in the U.S. Army at the local recruiting station.
They are: Leland Parker, 1831 G. street, enlisted for three years and has had seven years previous service; John Belger, 427 North Dodge street, enlisted for three years as a corporal and had five years previous service; and Charles Terrell, route No. 1, two year enlistment.
