Petty Officer Paper served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Lagarto (S-371) which was sunk by depth charge attack off the Malay coast near the Gulf of Siam. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart. ~oneternalparol
