Mark V. Hughes, Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark V. Hughes, 512 26th Street, and Donald E. O’Brien, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.J. O’Brien, 2509 Jones Street, have been transferred from Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, to Superior State Teachers College at Superior, Wis., for precadet training in the army air forces.

Trinity High Grad is Commissioned in Army Air Corps
Aviation Cadet Donald E. O’Brien, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. O’Brien, 2509 Jones Street, a recent graduate of the army air forces bombardier school at Kirtland field, Albuquerque, N.M., has been commissioned a second lieutenant and awarded the silver wings of the aerial bombardier, supplementing previously won aerial gunner’s insigne.
A graduate of Trinity High School in 1941, Lieut. O’Brien won letters as an undergraduate in football, basketball and boxing and was a member of the public specking society. He later attended Trinity College. His father is a Veteran of the First World War
Lieut. O’Brien formerly was stationed at Las Vegas, Nev., where he was graduated from the army air forces flexible gunnery school as an aerial gunner.
