80 Kossuth Men Officially Listed As Casualties In War
FIRST RELEASE OF STATE HISTORICAL DEATH SUMMARIES
Eighty men from Kossuth county lost their lives while in the service of their country in World War II.

Cletus J. Mosbach was born Nov. 27, 1912 to John and Katherine Mosbach. He died Aug. 5, 1944 and is buried in Saint Michaels Catholic Cemetery, Whittemore, IA. He was initially buried in USAF American Cemetery Tinian and returned to the U.S. in 1948.
Cpl. Mosbach served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps 24th Marines, 4th Marine Division and was KIA in combat operations on Tinian.
