SHENANDOAH— Pvt. George E. Morgan, son of Rev. and Mrs. G. Moore Morgan of Bad Axe, Mich., former pastor of the Episcopal church, is missing in action in the Philippines according to government word to his parents.

George E. Morgan (Iowa) serial #37033580 (U.S. Army Medical Dept.- 31st Infantry) died October 21, 1942. He had been a Japanese POW held in the Philippines.
Pvt. Morgan was buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
