Marion Russell Miller was born Jan. 25, 1920 to Harley Alfred and Lela Frances Walker Miller. He died Jan. 5, 2000 and is buried in Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport, IA.
Sgt. Miller served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry in Germany, Belgium, and France and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
