Maurice James Mason was born June 8, 1922 to Kent Irwin and Clara Grace Gillette Mason. He died Jan. 20, 1944 and is buried in Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
Sgt. Mason served in World War II with the U.S. Army 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division and was MIA/KIA in Italy and was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
