Donald D. Marshall and Mary H. Marshall, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.R. Marshall, 3001 Fair avenue, are both serving in the U.S. navy. The former, a graduate of Davenport high school with the January class of this year, has completed his "boot" training at the naval air technical training center at Memphis, Tenn., and has been advanced to the rating of seaman, second class.
Mary H. Marshall, storekeeper second class, is serving with the navy relief division of Miami Fla., where she has been stationed since August, 1943. She received her training at Hunter college, New York, and Milledgeville, Ga., after beginning her service in April 1943. Her brother, who entered the navy Feb 12, has returned to Memphis for radio and gunnery school, after a leave spent with his parents.
