Stewart Millsap Died March 10 on Iwo Jima
WILLIAMS—Word has been received by relatives of the death of Stewart Millsap of the marine corps on Iwo Jima, March 10. He was a raider scout and was reported killed by a Japanese sniper.
He and his brother, Grove Millsap had met on the island a short time before and enjoyed some days together.
His mother, Mrs. Sylvia Talcott Millsap, lives at Downers Grove, Ill., and the youngest brother, Parker is in the European war theater.

Francis Grove ‘Grove’ Millsap was born Apr. 6, 1920 to Stewart Arthur, Sr. and Sylvia Talcott Millsap. He died Aug. 23, 1963 and is buried in the Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly, New Jersey.
Staff Sgt. Millsap served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II and Korea.
