T/3 Robert Dale Miller was born in Burrell Township, Decatur County. He entered the service June, 1942 at Camp Dodge, Iowa. After 2 ½ months training at Fort Leonard, Missouri, he was sent to March Field, California.
His over sea assignments include New Caledonia, New Guadalcanal, New Georgia Islands, and the Philippine Islands. T/3 Miller was with the 955th Engineer Topographic Company Aviation attached to the Far East Air Force. He was awarded the Bronze Star.
His next of kin is his wife, Gretchen. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Miller Weldon, Iowa.
