Robert Eugene Miehe was born oct. 13, 1918 to Oscar Carl and Dora Warnke Miehe. He died Apr. 5, 1945 and is buried in Long Grove Cemetery, Maynard, IA.
Lt. Miehe served in World War II and was wounded in action twice. He wore the Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart and two Oak Leaf clusters. He served in North Africa, Tunisia, Sicily, France, Belgium and Germany. He was KIA in Germany.
