Lieut. W. G. McKee Awarded Air Medal for War Operations
Second Lieut. William G. McKee, who is serving at an Eighth American air force bomber station in England, has been awarded the air medal for meritorious achievement while engaged in operations over enemy territory, it was announced by headquarters of the Eighth air force.
Lieut. McKee took part in numerous missions over Nazi Europe on a Liberator. Lieut. Col. Clifford J. Heflin of Fresno, Calif., presented the award in a ceremony held at the bomber station, where he is commanding officer.
Lieut. McKee is the son of W. G. McKee, 212 S. John Street. He graduated from Central High School and was a machinist with Albertson & Co. before entering the Army. His wife, the former Pearl McNulty, resides at 921 S. Dakota Avenue, Sioux Falls.

William Gerald McKee was born Feb. 13, 1921 to William G. and Florence Hansen McKee. He died Feb. 10, 1983 and is buried in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
