Richard William McCollough was born Oct. 30, 1917 to George W. and Emma McCollough. He died Nov. 30, 1967 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Petty Officer McCollough served in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard in World War II. In the Navy he served aboard the USS Ortolan; in the Coast Guard he served aboard the OGC Tuckahoe and OGC Boutwell.
