George Bertram ‘Bert’ McCollough was born May 23, 1905 to Oscar Johnson and Sara Elizabeth Richey McCollough. He died July 4, 1968 in Minneapolis, MN.
Sgt. McCollough served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Bert McCollough rites will be held Monday
Funeral services for Bert McCollough, 63, former Webster City resident who died July 4 at his home in Minneapolis, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday.
The services will be held at the Washburn-McReavy funeral home, 2905 Johnson Ave., Minneapolis, N. E.
Mr. McCollough was employed by the city of Webster City at the municipal power and light plant for many years before moving to Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his wife last spring and by his parents.
Surviving are four children: Mrs. Glen (Beverly) Gilland, Renville, Minn., Mrs. Jim (Mary Jean) Boe, Bloomington, Minn., Roger McCollough of Napa, Calif., and James at home, 1042 15th S.E., Minneapolis.
Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters including: Maxwell McCollough and Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Maxson, both of Webster City; Mrs. Wilma Hanson at the Americana Nursing home in Minot, N.D., William McCollough, Webster City; Jay McCollough, Eagle Grove; Kenneth McCollough, now in Texas, and Arnold McCollough of La Puenta, Calif.
During World War II, Mr. McCollough served with Co. F, the Webster City Iowa State Guard Unit.
