John Henry Magnussen was born Jan. 21, 1918 to Gustav and Henrietta Friesenborg Magnussen. He died Feb. 20, 2004 and is buried in Saint Dominics Cemetery, Wyoming, IL.
Sgt. Magnussen served with the U.S. Army in World War II and received campaign ribbons for New Guinea and the Admiralty Islands.
