Collins, 2541 S Coral Street, have reported at Washington University, St. Louis, for a course of army air force instruction.

IN UNIFORM
Irvin D. Levine, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Levine, 2923 Jennings Street, has been promoted to staff sergeant, Sgt. Levine, whose wife lives with his parents, is a radio operator-gunner on a 15th air force B-17 based in Italy and has flown 10 combat missions since arriving in the Mediterranean theater, December 16, 1944. He has been awarded the air-medal and wears the European-African-middle-eastern ribbon with one battle star. A graduate of Central High School, he attended Morningside College before entering the army in November 1942. He received his gunner’s wings at the gunnery school, Yuma, Arizona.

Irvin Donald Levine was born June 24, 1924 to Sam and Goldie H. Pearlmutter Levine. He died Jan. 20, 2001.
