Pvt. John E. Leland, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Leland, 2142 Summit street, has been transferred to Chanute Field, Rantoul, Ill., where he will take a 14-week specialized course.

PFC John E. Leland, is spending a 30-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd M. Leland, 2142 Summit Street. He has been currently assigned to 1016th army air force at Lake Charles, La. En route to Sioux City, PFC Leland visited a sister Katherine, junior student at the University of Iowa and Dan Lehan, apprentice seaman, Sioux Cityan, stationed at Fayette, Mo. Dan and John were classmates at Central High School.
