Maurice Eugene Leathers was born Dec. 3, 1922 to Raymond Vern and Laura Ella Hamilton Leathers. He died Aug. 4, 1944 and is buried in Cottonwood Cemetery, Lake City, IA.
Cpl. Leathers served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and died in the service of his country in Gander, Newfoundland.
