Nicholas Joseph Laubenthal was born Nov. 9, 1920 to Nicholas and Elizabeth Schumacker Laubenthal. He died Oct. 20, 1944 and memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Pvt. Laubenthal served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. M, 34th Infantry 24th Infantry Division and was MIA/KIA on Leyte, Philippine Islands, He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
