Archibald Lane, who is serving somewhere in the Pacific, has been promoted to sergeant, his brother, Harold, also is in the Pacific, they are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lane.

Archibald Lane was born July 26, 1920 to Henry Clay and Ida Joy Devine Lane. He died Sept. 17, 2015 and is buried in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
Sgt. Lane served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps in the battles of Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima.
