Homer E. Jones was born to Homer E. and Nellie H. Jones. He died Feb. 3, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Lt. Jones served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 8th Squadron, 2nd Combat Cargo Group and died while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
