Verlin Daniel Huffman was born June 25, 1913 to Alvin and Lydia Muesley Huffman. He died Aug. 13, 1945 and is buried in Paton Cemetery, Paton, IA.
Sgt. Huffman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Dept. and died in Cabanatuan, Luzon, Philippine Islands as the result of acute lobar pneumonia and acute malarial fever, while serving his country.
