Merle Irving Hove was born Jan. 15, 1926 to Peter A. and Bertha C. Nelson Hove. He died May 29, 1998 and is buried in Bluff Creek Cemetery, Boone, IA.
Merle served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II with Hq. Co. 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division.
