Amos O. and Martha Thompson Hovda had three sons serving their country in World War II: Harris Alexander, Donald Amos, and James William Hovda.
Donald Amos Hovda was born May 11, 1918. He died June 5, 2002 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Williams, IA.
Sgt. Hovda served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
