Carl Augustus Heise, Jr. was born Jan. 20, 1911 to Carl Augustus (Sr.) and Sarah Mary Sharp Heise. He died Mar. 12, 1968 and is buried in Rose Hills Memorial Cemetery, Missouri Valley, IA.
Dr. Heise served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Dr. Carl Heise, Former Doctor in Jewell, Dies in Texas
Dr. Carl A. Heise, 56, of Waco, Tex., a former resident of Missouri Valley, died Tuesday night, March 12.
His death occurred at providence hospital in Waco.
The remains arrived in Omaha by air at 1 p.m., Thursday and were taken to Hennessy-Van Cleave and Hurley funeral home in Missouri Valley.
Funeral services were held in St. Paul Lutheran church at 2 p.m., Friday with the Rev. Robert Henderson officiating. Internment was in Rosehill Memorial Gardens.
Dr. Heise was a son of the late Dr. and Mrs C. A. Heise, Sr., long-time residents of Missouri Valley. He was born in Missouri Valley.
He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He served for four years in the Navy during World War II.
Dr. Heise engaged in private practice in Jewell, Ia., for 17 years. Since 1963 he had been on the medical staff of the Veterans hospital in Waco.
Surviving are his wife, Florence, of Waco; and four daughters, Mrs. James Hilton of Presto, S. D., Mrs. J.J. Aasen of San Francisco, California; Mrs. Franklin Schroeder of Edgar, Wisconsin, and Miss Mary Heise of Houston, Texas.
Other survivors are one brother, Dr. Robert Heise of Story City, Ia.; and five sisters, Mrs. L. E. Moore of Arcadia, Cal., Mrs. James Quinn of Washington, Ia., Mrs. C. A. Tucker of Naples, Fla., Mrs. Fred Chadwick of Laurens, Ia., and Dr. Catherine Steele of Great Falls, Montana.
