James Richard Harl was born Mar. 21, 1920 to James S. and Mary E. Harl. He died Feb. 23, 1945 and is buried in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE.
Lt. Harl served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was MIA/KIA near Katzen, Germany while on a combat mission when his aircraft was hit by flak, went into a spin and crashed.
